About iFixAuto Diagnostic Lab
iFixAuto Diagnostic Lab is a technical knowledge platform focused on practical HVAC and VRF troubleshooting.
The goal is to help technicians and service teams diagnose complex system problems with clearer logic, better field data, and more reusable workflows.
This project is built from real service experience, technical documentation, and structured diagnostic thinking. Over time, the site will grow into a library of fault codes, troubleshooting guides, field cases, checklists, courses, and diagnostic tools.
Experience Behind the Lab
The perspective behind iFixAuto was shaped by commercial HVAC service across commercial and institutional facilities, where a single facility can contain equipment from different decades, manufacturers, and control generations.
That environment teaches a disciplined approach: understand the sequence of operation, listen to the building history, verify power and controls, measure before replacing, and account for how one system affects another. Older equipment often demands more reasoning—not less—because drawings may be incomplete, components may have been replaced over time, and the original design may no longer match present building needs.
iFixAuto exists to preserve and share that kind of practical knowledge. The aim is to help technicians make confident decisions, help facility teams avoid unnecessary parts replacement, and turn difficult service cases into reusable diagnostic lessons.
