Useful evidence

Identify

System type, brand, model number, vehicle details, thermostat or controller display, and location of the affected equipment.

Describe

The exact operating pattern—not only “does not work.” Include timing, weather, recent service, and what still operates normally.

Document safely

Photos of accessible labels, displays, visible ice or water, and settings. Do not remove unsafe panels just to take a picture.

Do not wait for an email response if you smell gas, a carbon-monoxide alarm sounds, there is smoke or arcing, a vehicle is overheating, or anyone feels ill. Leave the hazard and contact emergency services or a qualified local professional.
